BITCOM stands for the Business Innovation & Technology Commercialization Centre at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). It serves as the university’s Technology Transfer Office, dedicated to supporting UiTM researchers in maximizing the impact of their research through evaluation, protection, marketing, and licensing of the university's innovations, inventions, and research discoveries.
BITCOM assists in bringing UiTM innovations and intellectual properties to the marketplace, playing a key role in the formation of UiTM-based start-up and spin-off companies. The center provides services related to IP evaluation, protection, and commercialization, ensuring that researchers' innovations are properly safeguarded and utilized. BITCOM also supports the development of start-ups and spin-offs by providing resources and guidance to researchers and entrepreneurs within the university.
