The Principles of Islamic Consumer Behaviour
The Principles of Islamic Consumer Behaviour offers a comprehensive exploration of consumption through the lens of Islamic teachings. Bridging classical Islamic principles with modern consumer theories, this book examines the spiritual, ethical, and economic dimensions of consumer behaviour. It begins by grounding readers in the Islamic understanding of human nature and needs, then contrasts conventional consumer models with an Islamic worldview. With in-depth discussions on decision-making, ethics, spending priorities, the institution of hisbah, and the role of government, the book provides a holistic framework for understanding how Muslim consumers interact with goods, services, and markets. Ideal for individuals in Islamic economics, marketing, and ethics, this work promotes conscious, ethical, and balanced consumption aligned with Maqasid al-Shariah.
