This book has been designed for science students at the tertiary education, specifically in intermediate calculus. Students are introduced to the definitions of the inverse trigonometric functions, hyperbolic and inverse hyperbolic functions. They will learn how to simplify, differentiate and integrate these functions. Besides, various techniques of integration such as integration by parts, trigonometric substitutions, and the use of partial fractions in integrating rational functions are discussed. This book also covers the first and second order of the ordinary differential equations including the applications of the first ordinary differential equations. The authors have also included a chapter on basic differentiation and integration techniques as a revision. All chapters provide many examples and clear explanation for students to understand and use the concepts effectively. Exercises and miscellaneous questions are given at the end of each section and chapter respectively to test students on the understanding of each topic.
