Inspired by real-life teaching different Professional Accounting Programme (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) United Kingdom, Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia and Association Chartered Certified of Accountants (ACCA) United Kingdom) and requests from fellow lecturers has encouraged the development of this book. Not all accounting lecturers have the opportunities to teach three Professional Accounting Programmes at almost the same time. It is interesting to learn the similarities and differences between these programmes and courses. This book provides insight into each programme’s course descriptions, competencies framework and skills, proficiency levels, course outcomes, elements and learning levels. This book also provides an overview of each examination, assessments and results. The uniqueness of each programme is uncovered and hope can develop interest in discovering more about these programmes. This book is suitable for all lecturers and students. Industry players can also adopt the generic processes in determining their position within the industry.


Instructor Biography

Suzana Sulaiman (FCMA, CGMA, CA) is a Senior Professor of Management Accounting at Department of Professional Accounting Studies (DPAS), Faculty of Accountancy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. Suzana has more than 30 years of teaching experience and is actively involved in research and consultancy. Her research interests are in the areas of evolution of management accounting, value management and strategic performance. Suzana has also more than 13 years of administrative experience through several university appointments. Currently, Suzana is on the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) Council, the first academician invited from Asia to be part of CIMA United Kingdom’s Research Board and Head of AMARC at ARI, UiTM, Malaysia.
