The education sector is at a turning point in a world that has been irrevocably altered by a ruthless pandemic outbreak. Institutions are compelled to adjust to the 'new norm' of online learning with conventional classroom approaches in order to keep up with the changing environment. School closings start to become the norm, forcing teachers to struggle with the task of making sure kids don't fall behind in their education. Enter blended learning, a ground-breaking strategy that mixes in-person instruction with remote and online learning.


Instructor Biography

Dr. Siti Shuhaida Shukor, a self-exploratory technology enthusiast, is a senior lecturer at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Languages and Communication, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). Her main research and passion revolves around Computer Assisted Language Learning, Blended Learning, Cultural Historical Activity Theory, Social Media and Collaborative Writing in English language learning and context.

Dr. Mazlin Mohamed Mokhtar is a Senior Lecturer and an experienced Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) lecturer at the Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI), who has taught previously in school and polytechnics. She graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She held several posts such as the Head of General Studies Department, Head of Research and Innovation Unit, and Head of Language Unit previously at the polytechnics. She has nearly 20 years of teaching and an experienced Malaysian University English Test (MUET) examiner and a certified Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Primary and Junior Teacher. Her research interests are Sociolinguistics, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), English as a Second Language (ESL) and ICT in Education.
